Day in the Life: Hunting for bugs

USF graduating senior Jamie Hodes searches for insects on the trees outside campus’s Magnolia Apartments, where she lives as a Resident Assistant (RA). For her final project in Medical and Applied Entomology, Hodes must collect a range of insects belonging to at least 10 different scientific orders. The class aims to teach medical students, such as Hodes, the importance of different insect species in relation to human health. After collection, Hodes will freeze her findings and present them to her class.
