The U-S-F women’s track and field team headed up to New York for the Big East Invitational. Junior Courtney Anderson competes in the high jump and was ready to set a new record. Unfortunately the invitational ended in an ankle injury for her as she was returning this year from a prior injury that had just healed. Anderson was upset about the injury because she knew this was her year to prove to her coaches that she could eventually go to the Olympics.
With the season fast approaching, the USF baseball team has been practicing every day. After being picked to finish fourth this year in the Big East Preseason Coaches’ Poll, the team is ready to prove their merit.
Many new recruits make up this year’s roster. Returning pitcher Andrew Barbosa, who was unable to play last season due to injury, spoke to the Digital Bullpen after practice about his excitement for the season.
