The USF softball team looked to carry momentum into the night cap of a twin bill Friday against the Mississippi St. Bulldogs in the NFCA Leadoff Classic in Clearwater. After a 5 inning throttle vs. Illinois, the Bulls played to a tight 1-0 victory to improve to (8-1). Sophomore lefty Sara Nevins pitched her way to her second victory of the year as she mowed down the opposition, striking out seven while walking none. Nevins talks about confidence from her coach as well as the tactical zigzagging against the Bulldogs.
