Dirty laundry raises awareness for female victims of violence

The Clothesline Project of Tampa Bay, sponsored by the USF organization N.I.T.E, is a visual display in the SVC Breezeway of shirts with graphic messages made by female survivors of violence or by a loved one in honor of a woman who has been killed. The project aims to raise awareness of the extent of violence against women, a topic that is often considered taboo in society. Each color shirt represents a specific type of violence a woman has experience including rape, sexual assault, incest, and assault and battery. (Photo by Meghan Mangrum/Digital Bullpen)
